A Handful of Thoughts in Monochrome

In the beginning, there was only darkness, a white sheet of paper and a black ink fine-liner…

My first drawings were primarily a means to detach and let go. The emotions they conveyed, combined with my reliance on the technical drawing tools and techniques of the architect in me, gave the spreads of my first sketchbooks a dark, monochromatic quality. A Handful of Thoughts in Monochrome is a series that showcases a selection of sketches from these dark, monochrome beginnings.

Note: These selected works were originally part of the Talent Unbound Collective Exhibition (Beirut, 2018), but the series continues to evolve as I create new pieces. For more recent works from this ongoing series, feel free to visit my Instagram.
